How do permanent hair extensions work

Who doesn’t love a head full of thick, gorgeous looking silky hair? Hair extensions are a quick and easy solution. But with hair extensions come rows of clip-ins that take long enough to give you the biceps you have been lifting for months for. These are the most common and popular form of hair extensions but not each one of us has the time to install these in the morning.

Luckily there's a way to fuller hair without going the hectic steps of installing hair extensions – permanent and semi-permanent hair extensions that are meant to last longer and live in your hair!

How long do they last?

Now permanent hair extensions do not mean forever and ever, but it's still better than never ever – lasting for at least a month or 6 weeks depending on the quality and type. It may be used a few times again if they are handled and worn delicately.

If you think you will get hair extensions installed in and forget they even exist, it doesn’t quite work like that. These will need the same amount of care as your actually hair does – regular and gentle shampooing and conditioning and avoiding heat styling at all costs.

How do they work?

Hair extensions are made up of natural human hair or synthetic hair. If you want natural looking hair extensions that look seamless and your own, human hair will always be a better choice. It will add volume and length to your hair either to cover up either a bad haircut, bald spots, or naturally thin hair that doesn’t allow you to make any styles.

For some permanent hair extensions, adhesive tape (no weight) is used to close the scalp, so it looks natural and blends in easily.

Others use micro beads made of silicone and stick it to your scalp or even use a sew method that stays on for longer periods and looks glamorous from top to bottom adding length and volume to your hair.
